The deadline for the Academic Challenge is approaching! Can your student still participate? YES!

Academic Challenge is a non-competitive, voluntary program consisting of seven (7) academic challenges offered for all K-5 students at Puesta del Sol Elementary.  Students choose and complete challenges throughout the school year.  These challenges must be completed outside of school.

  ALL students are eligible!
Complete 5 out of 7 challenges receive a trophy!
Complete all 7 challenges receive the Principal's Medal!
Challenges have unique deadlines.  Visit the Academic Challenge website page specific info regarding due dates.

The deadline to turn in timesheets and the Final Submission Form is due May 3rd.

*There is still time! Social Studies, Math, Technology, Business, and Literature Challenges can still be completed and counted towards achieving an award! Need timesheets? Print them from the Academic Challenge website page or ask for one in the office.

The Academic Challenge Final Submission Form and its components will be collected in the school office the week of 4/29 - 5/3.  If your student participated in the Reflections Art Program, Science Fair, or Passport Club components, those program organizers will confirm your participation.  All you need to do is "check" the boxes beside the components completed on the Final Submission Form.  If your student attended a session of Robotics that was sponsored by the school, he/she may use that class for 2 hours of coding time.

Have fun - and take on the challenge!
