The Puesta del Sol Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is gearing up for another great school year, and looking forward to the opportunity to build a strong and united membership community.
Did you know the PTA is here to advocate for you and your student for just about any issue that affects your student's experience at Puesta del Sol? The PTA is the largest grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated solely to children in Washington State and the country. A portion of each member's dues goes to the Bellevue Council, Washington State PTA, and National PTA. Through these partnerships, at each level, the PTA advocates for children and issues affecting their health, welfare, safety, and education.
Being members also gives you and your student a voice at Puesta del Sol. Members vote on issues such as programming, budget, and board members. It's a terrific way for older students to learn the value of civic engagement.
We are fortunate to have some amazing programs at our school, thanks to the PTA. Below are a few of the programs that are paid for by the PTA and carried out by volunteers:

Puesta Del Sol PTA membership is open to everyone! PTA is an inclusive organization, and we invite any community members who care about healthy children and strong schools to join.
