Puesta del Sol Elementary and the PTA Board are very excited to meet you!

To make a smooth entry into this very exciting year, the school and PTA are holding an Incoming Kindergarten Potluck Dinner on Thursday, May 30th.  We invite you to come meet other kindergarten families, share in a Potluck and learn how to prepare for Spanish Immersion Kindergarten. 

Important Information:

WHO:  Incoming kindergarteners and their families

WHEN:  Thursday May 30, 2019, 5:30-7:00pm

WHERE:  Puesta del Sol Gymnasium

WHAT TO BRING:  A food item representative of your family’s culture

POTLUCK NIGHT SCHEDULE:

  5:30pm Arrival, family potluck, and families sign in with PTA and on our Welcome Banner. To begin the school year, we want to celebrate all cultures.  We invite families to bring a food item representative of their family's culture as well as add your family's own language and home country to our world map.
  6:15pm Spanish Immersion Readiness Presentation in Gym.  Our Kindergarten Teachers will give a short presentation about preparing for Kindergarten and Spanish Immersion. Childcare will be provided on the playground. 
  6:50pm Parents reunite with children.

If you have allergy concerns, PLEASE still come and bring your own dinner so you can still meet everyone!

  1. Create a New Account on our website.  Please indicate Pre-K for your child's Grade Level and "Incoming Kindergartener" as your child's teacher. PTA membership runs from August 1 until the following October 31 (up to a 13-month period), and is valid for the school year in which is it purchased. Please wait until August to purchase membership.
  2. Sign up for the Newsletter and poke around the website!

  4. We also have a NON PTA-Sponsored Facebook Group page for your class created by a parent that you can join as well at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1387226241417980/?ref=share.  This is a closed group, so you will need to request to join and will be admitted by the moderator.
