Dr. Frances Gallart Marques
Please join Dr. Gallart, a native Spanish speaker, and former Frederick Randolph Grace Fellow at the Harvard Art Museums, as she tells us about a day in the life of an archaeologist. She will lead the talk in English, but will teach us interesting Spanish phrases, while taking us on a tour of a Roman dig and telling us all about ancient toilets! This is sure to be an engaging and educational event.

Please join Puesta del Sol Elementary alumni and competitive dancer Harrison as we learn some basic Hip Hop moves, and put it together to do a Hip Hop Combo!
Harrison is a competitive dancer who trains and competes in several different dance styles and has competed in dance for seven years. He has won a national dance title Hollywood Connections Icon of the Year and has won over 10 regional titles. He danced in a hip-hop routine with Russell Wilson in a commercial for Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards and recently was in a Music Video with the band Now United in Las Vegas, and in different commercials.

Dr. Kim Morrissette & Dr. Patrick Solari
Two of our own Puesta del Sol parents come talk to us about what it’s like to be an ER doctor for children & adults.
Dr. Kim Morrissette is an Emergency physician at Swedish Issaquah. She cares for kids and adults for any injury or illness they have. Dr. Morrissette has been a physician for 16 years. Dr. Patrick Solari is an Emergency Physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital where he cares for children and also works at the University of Washington where most of the patients are adults. Dr. Solari specializes in pediatric emergency medicine and has been a physician for 18 years. Kim and Pat are the parents of Matthew and Meghan Solari.

Luke Weaver, is a paleontologist and PhD candidate at the University of Washington. Join as Luke shares his love of fossils to students who are interested in asking him questions and learning about paleontology.

We are excited to learn from Dr. Wirsing how he uses a combination of fieldwork and modeling techniques, and working in both terrestrial and aquatic systems, to look at the ways that top predators, such as grey wolves and tiger sharks, can shape their communities and ecosystems through their presence alone. He will be discussing animals he has researched all over the world, including some, here in Washington.
