 Every Member Matters!

The PTA is here to advocate for you and your student for just about any issue that affects your student's experience at Puesta del Sol.
Being a PTA member gives you and your student a voice at Puesta del Sol!
Members vote on issues such as programming, budget, and board members. It's a terrific way for older students to learn the value of civic engagement.
Puesta del Sol PTA membership is open to everyone! PTA is an inclusive organization, and we invite any community members who care about healthy children and strong schools to join.

Back to Buildings: A Guide for our K-2 Families

Back to Buildings Plan - Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful Information ahead of Grades K-2 Returning:  Several key aspects to the return to in-person learning are important to review and begin planning for before students return. Please know:

  • Mask wearing is an expectation. We encourage students to begin practicing mask wearing now, particularly for longer periods of time.
  • Masks must be 2-ply, and gaiters or bandanas must be folded. Additional masks will be made available at school whenever needed.
  • Parents and guardians, and all non-critical visitors, will not be permitted on campus during in-person learning. Drop-off of items is limited to critical items only, such as medication. Drop-off of items deemed non-critical are prohibited (instruments, homework, projects, etc.).
  • Prior to students arrival each day, All parents and guardians must attest that their student is symptom-free via the daily parent/guardian health check Health Check website or other methods (phone call, written note). If a parent/guardian answers yes to any of the screening questions, the student will be asked to stay home.
  • Students should be prepared for colder conditions than normal inside school due to increased ventilation, including windows being open. Please ensure your student arrives to school dressed for such conditions.
  • Students attending in-person from 9:00-11:30 should eat breakfast prior to school. Students attending in-person from 1:00-3:30 should eat breakfast and lunch prior to arriving to school.
  • All schools will follow current guidelines for out-of-state travel by asking that students quarantine at home for 14 days upon returning. Be sure to communicate both with your student’s teacher and Puesta del Sol Attendance Office ([email protected]) if your student has traveled outside of the state and therefore needs to quarantine.
